What is Total Triage and when will it be implemented at Marisco Medical Practice Surgery?
Total Triage is a new system being adopted by Marisco Medical Practice, starting 15th September, 2025. It means that every request for help, whether it’s for a health concern, a sick note, or advice, will first be reviewed by a trained doctor or nurse.
They will then decide the most appropriate way to help based on urgency and who is best suited to address the issue. This system is encouraged by the NHS and is already in use by many GP practices.
How can patients request help under the new Total Triage system?
Patients have three main ways to contact the surgery:
- Online using AccuRx via our website or NHS APP: The quickest way to contact Marisco Medical Practice with medical or administrative queries is by submitting an online request through your surgery’s website or through the NHS App.
- By phone: Patients who cannot go online can call the surgery, and a team member will assist them in filling out the AccuRx form.
- In person: Patients can visit the reception, where a team member will help them complete the form. Regardless of the contact method, all requests must go through the same AccuRx form to ensure fair and safe.
